This past weekend more than 2,500 booths filled the Anaheim Convention Center with brands showcasing their latest non-GMO, organic, paleo-inspired, quinoa-based, gluten-free, protein-packed, sriracha-flavored products. The annual Natural Products Expo West was launched in 1981 to help natural product manufacturers connect with distributors and retailers. Now the massive expo is a testament to an increasing awareness of natural ingredient uses and consumption. As runners, it’s especially important to know what we’re putting into our bodies.
