The UltraSpeed is all about shaving: shaving time in transition with a no-lace, slip-on upper, shaving weight to get down to a mere six ounces and shaved legs for the triathletes who have been snatching these up for sprint to half-Ironman distance races. The low-profile, minimalist feel of these sockless racers is quite bare so our testers didn’t recommend them for anything long or for those without efficient biomechanics. But they gave the UltraSpeed heaps of praise for just the right foot hold and enjoyed them as a racing shoe. zootsports.com
