A new brand serves up old-school style in modern running gear.

Tracksmith, a start-up company from Wellesley, Mass., is putting retro style into modern running gear. The brand, which launched last summer by selling vintage-looking T-shirts as well as performance-oriented singlets, socks and shorts with old-school designs, has created limited-edition New York City and Boston Marathon singlets. Emblazoned with “NYC 14” and “BQ 15,” the singlets are made from a variety of lightweight, moisture-wicking synthetic fabrics and modeled after 1950s-1960s era collegiate uniforms. (The Boston version is only available to 2015 Boston Marathon qualifiers who have entered the race.) Tracksmith, founded by Luke Scheybeler and Matt Taylor, says it manufacturers all of its products at factories in the New York and New England.
