That post-training moment when you’re craving a nice recovery shake, but then suddenly discouraged when lumpy globs of protein powder hover around the surface of the glass is an all-too familiar episode for many athletes.
The BlenderBottle helps to solve that problem. Created by Sundesa, the BlenderBottle uses a small free-floating, round wire whisk that mixes anything that needs to be blended. Just shake the bottle and it does the work for you.
The BlenderBottle goes beyond just sport drinks — it can be used to whisk salad dressings or eggs for omelets, which can be useful on camping or outdoor trips.
Its new SportMixer, which debuted at this year’s Outdoor Retailer Winter Market show, is a rugged, plastic bottle that can probably take a beating. It has a flip cap that shuts tight and a loop that can be clipped.
While the BlenderBottle does a smooth job of mixing ingredients, don’t expect a silky consistency. Lastly, don’t use the bottle with hot or warm liquids as it may build up pressure within the bottle and cause the flip-top to spray its contents.
The BlenderBottle retails for $10 while the SportMixer retails for $15.
