Terra Plana Evo–($160)
2010 Fall Running Shoe Review Homepage
Embracing the minimalist movement, the Evo is more of a running slipper, compared to the running toe-sock of the Vibram Bakila. With only four millimeters of rubber underfoot, the Evo is incredibly flexible and free feeling with almost no support; this, of course, is the idea behind these form-building tools toward more efficient, higher- turnover forefoot running. The weight is on par with that of a racing flat; and the upper is wide enough that our testers have to lace them as tight as they’d go, so you may want to size down a half for a snugger fit.
