Summer Outdoor Retailer Unveils 2012 Gear

Gear gawkers convened a few weeks ago to see the latest in footwear, apparel and other outdoor gear.

A record-breaking 25,000 retailers, exhibitors and media rallied together to scope out the latest trends in outdoor gear and services in the mid-summer tradition of Outdoor Retailer held Aug. 4-7 in Salt Lake City.

The show comes to Salt Lake City twice a year for its summer and winter markets, attracting armies of gear-loving wanderers ready to explore the never-ending display of exhibits that overflowed into the parking lots and streets surrounding the Salt Palace Convention Center.

Big name players from the endurance, climbing, paddling and everything-in-between industries showcased their latest and greatest products for 2012.
