Spira Making ‘Duck Dynasty’ Running Shoes

Spira is making three colors of camo shoes for men and women.

They will be available in three camo patterns for men and women.

Spira, the small footwear brand known for putting springs in the midsoles of its running shoes, is developing camouflage running shoes. Created in conjunction with the “Duck Dynasty” TV show, the officially licensed shoes will be available in three camo patterns for men and women.

The shoe is modified version of the Spira Stinger XLT performance shoe, which contains three WaveSprings — two in the forefoot and one in the heel. The shoes are lightweight (weigh only 8.4 ounces in a women’s size 7 and 9.4 ounces in a men’s size 9) and feature Spira’s WaveSpring Technology in combination with the show’s famous duck camouflage pattern. “Duck Dynasty” is the No. 1 nonfiction cable networks show, according to Forbes.com.

Spira is crowdfunding this new line of Duck Dynasty shoes through a collaboration with RocketHub.com and the A&E Networks show called “Project Startup,” which helps entrepreneurs get off the ground with new ideas. Those who contribute $90 will be able to pre-purchase a pair of the Duck Dynasty shoes in their size at a substantial discount. As of Aug. 19, the campaign had raised $64,000 of its $100,000 goal with 512 contributing funders.

Spira, based in El Paso, Texas, was founded in 2001. The relationship between A&E, RocketHub, and Spira Footwear started in the summer of 2012 when Spira used Rockethub’s service to crowdfund its line of Stinger2 shoes.
