Meb Keflezighi will be racing the 2015 Boston Marathon in a red version of the special edition GOMeb Speed 3 shoes, while a green, blue and yellow version will be sold at the Boston Marathon race expo.

Meb Keflezighi will be back to defend his title at the Boston Marathon on April 20 and he’ll once again be wearing a pair of red, white and blue special-edition Skechers Performance GOMeb Speed 3 racing flats. This year’s version is mostly red with white and blue highlights. Keflezighi wore a different special edition makeup of the GOMeb Speed 3 last year (also in a red, white and blue motif) when he became the first American man to win the Boston Marathon since 1983. The new version of the shoe weighs in at about 7.2 oz. for a men’s size 9 and has a 4mm heel-toe offset (21mm in the heel, 17mm in the forefoot). “Boston” and “2015” are printed in white across the front of the shoes.

The red, white and blue versions of Keflezighi’s shoes will be sold exclusively at Marathon Sports on Boylston Street in Boston for $130. However, a green and yellow version of the special-edition Boston Marathon GOMeb Speed 3 ($120), as well as a green and yellow Boston edition of the GOrun 4 ($100), will be sold at the Boston Marathon race expo and on the Skechers Performance site. Both of the Boston Marathon special editions of the GOMeb Speed 3 (4mm heel-toe-offset, 7.2 oz. men’s size 9, 6.1 oz. women’s size 7) and GORun 4 (4mm heel-toe offset, 7.1 oz. men’s size 9, 6.0 oz. women’s size 7) have the same design specs and weights as the current in-line versions of those shoes available at stores and online now.
