New Balance 759–($95)
2010 Fall Running Shoe Review Homepage
For wider-footed runners who have a hard time finding a high-volume, neutral, lightweight trainer, the 759 will do the trick. The generous upper fit is a bit too much for some of our narrower-footed testers, but the width is quite welcome for those who need it. The 759 performs well enough that testers say they don’t think of them as “overly cushioned like so many shoes these days” but, rather, the quick transition and dampening firmness of the midsole translate to a fine tempo shoe that leaves them feeling good after their runs.
