Karhu Stable Ride–($120)
The Stable Ride makes for a gimmick-free, supportive trainer that is best suited for heavier runners with low arches and wider forefeet.
A well-named shoe, our test team reported the Stable Ride to be motion-controlling and especially well-suited for rear-foot strikers who push their shoes through the gait cycle, transitioning the firm midsoles to toe-off with the help of Karhu’s Fulcrum engineering. The Stable Ride makes for a gimmick-free, supportive trainer that is best suited for heavier runners with low arches and wider forefeet. The lacing is secure enough that this shoe adjusted to most of our testers, but you should try them on in a shop to be sure of the fit.
