Brooks Debuts New Pop Art Shoes for the NYC Marathon
Brooks’ new shoes pay tribute to the Big Apple with the launch of the limited-edition NYC Pop Art Ghost 11 ahead of next months’ TCS New York City Marathon.
Inspired by pop art graphics and New York City imagery, Brooks’ new shoes pay tribute to the Big Apple with the launch of the limited-edition NYC Pop Art Ghost 11 ahead of next months’ TCS New York City Marathon.
“When creating the NYC Pop Art Ghost 11, we sought a fun way to honor the truly iconic New York City and everyone who runs there,” said Brice Newton, footwear merchandising director. “We turned to the style of pop art popularized in New York and found design insights that represent the big city which will motivate and celebrate runners inspired by it.”
Highlighting New York symbols such as the Statue of Liberty and a cherry red apple, the shoes feature bold colors and graphics that will definitely be a conversation starter as you hit the pavement this fall.
The updated Ghost 11 shoes feature Brooks’ DNA Loft midsole cushioning that combines the brand’s proprietary mix of EVA, rubber and air for better durability and softer cushioning. With a segmented crash pad, they deliver a smooth ride with every step. On the upper, newly-engineered air mesh provides improved stretch and structure.
The limited-edition Brooks NYC Pop Art Ghost 11 will be available online and in stores on October 19 for $120.
