Brooks Cascadia 5—($100)

Brooks could have named the Cascadia 5 the “Accommodator,” as it enveloped our testers’ feet and gave a fluid ride on both tame and rugged surfaces.  The generous toe box was welcome on steep descents while the layered midsole cushioning technologies evened out rough spots while giving the Cascadia some deserved road cred as well.
