Coachella Goers First to Snag Newest Adidas
It’s that time of year again. Music fans across the country are heading to the desert to enjoy the 3-day Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA. Today, adidas announced the early release of their newest sneaker, the Ultraboost Clima, which will debut at the fest over the weekend.
“adidas has to show up in the right way at the right times, bringing our best and most relevant products and experiences to moments that shape culture,” said Kelly Olmstead, vice president of brand activation at adidas. “We do this in ways that are meaningful by asking how adidas can bring something of value to Coachella and its guests and not looking at what the brand can get out of it.”
The shoe’s silhouette features an open structure Primeknit upper and moisture-wicking Clima yarns in key sweat zones. The breathable cage, made of the same material, replaces TPU to provide stability while the Primeknit upper allows for high air flow thanks to a looser weave. Concert goers can purchase the kicks a day ahead of their retail release at the adidas Running’s Clima Experience pop-up on the way to the fest.
Situated in front of the iconic Palm Springs windmills, adidas’ all-black structure will sit on 100 acres of land along the 10 freeway at Exit 117 (N. Indian Canyon Drive). Fans can stop in to experience the air-conditioned space and enjoy light refreshments and exclusive giveaways such as charcoal lemonade and custom bandanas.
The Ultraboost Clima will be available for $200 in three colorways for men (triple black, triple white and grey) and two for women (triple white and grey). The pop up will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST on April 12 and 13. But if you don’t make it to the pop-up, you can still grab a pair on adidas.com or in stores nationwide starting April 13.
