Woman Running Marathon While 7 Months Pregnant
It will be her second marathon run while pregnant.

It will be her second marathon run while pregnant.
Being pregnant is not stopping Norman, Oklahoma resident Leslie Quinalty from running a marathon. This Sunday, she plans to complete the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon while seven months pregnant.
“A lot of people think you’re just supposed to sit around while you’re pregnant,” she said. Quinalty has been a runner since elementary school. A few years ago, when she could afford the entry fees, she began running half marathons and marathons.
“Before then … I just went out and ran until I got tired,” she admitted.
Last fall, while one month pregnant, she completed the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa. The race didn’t go to well for her due to morning sickness.
Lately, Quinalty has encountered skeptics and naysayers concerning her run this weekend.
“I’ve had one person tell me, ‘Oh, that’s against the law,’” she said. “I’ve had a person tell me, ‘They’re going to stop you once you get three or four months pregnant.’
“No, that’s not the case,” she said.
Quinalty’s husband, Craig, stands by her. “I think it’s great that she is still running,” he said.
