Many brands are embracing and utilizing social media to engage their fans.
Earlier this year, trade publication Outdoor Magazine recognized the leading outdoor brands that have embraced and utilized the power of social media to successfully engage the greatest number of fans during the past year. This year’s top winners are:

Twitter’s Most Followed: Life is good – (69,887 followers)
YouTube’s Most Viewed: Patagonia – (4,236,734 total channel views)
Outdoor Magazine used Fansometer’s system of measuring influence, and began tracking and publishing social media brand rankings for the outdoor industry in late 2009.
