Olympic bronze medalist Deena Kastor is on the women's squad.

Olympic bronze medalist Deena Kastor is on the women’s squad.

One of the top running towns in the United States, Boulder, Colo., will play host to one of the largest road races in the world, the annual BolderBOULDER.

As part of the 10K race is an International Team Challenge that pits runners from various nations against each other.

According to a report on Running USA, the United States’ men’s and women’s squads were announced on Wednesday.

Headlining the men’s contingent is Fort Collins, Colo. native Aaron Braun, who came in fourth in last year’s challenge. He will be joined by former University of Colorado standout Brent Vaughn, the winner at last year’s U.S. Cross-Country Championships. Kenyon Nueman is the third member of the team.

On the women’s side, Stephane Rothstein, Laura Thweat, and Deena Kastor will do their best to try to defeat rivals Kenya and Ethiopia.

“I’m very excited about this year’s field. The U.S. and Team CO members are a mixture of seasoned road-racers and young up and coming athletes,” said Don Janicki, BolderBOULDER’S professional athlete coordinator.
