He settled for silver at last weekend’s IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in China, but Zersenay Tadese is looking to bounce back in a big way at this Sunday’s Great South Run in Portsmouth, U.K.
The half marathon world-record holder from Eritrea, who was aiming for his fifth consecutive world half marathon championship, finished a surprising second to Kenya’s William Kiprop. He headlines a strong field for this Sunday’s race, which includes world cross country champion Joseph Ebuya of Kenya and Brit Andrew Lemoncello, who did not compete in China due to visa troubles.
