She joins other high-profile runners Kara Goucher and Lauren Fleshman on the brand’s elite roster.
Stephanie Rothstein Bruce has signed with Oiselle, joining Lauren Fleshman and Kara Goucher on the brand’s elite roster. Bruce, who trains with Northern Arizona Elite alongside husband and marathoner Ben Bruce, joins the Seattle-based brand as an athlete, coach and teammate on the road and track.
Bruce owns several impressive finishes, including a top-3 American finish at the 2013 Boston Marathon and a sub-2:30 PR performance at the 2011 Houston Marathon. With her sights set on the 2016 Olympic Trials, Bruce plans to race the 26.2-mile distance again in 2015.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join Oiselle,” Bruce said in a press release. “I was given an amazing opportunity to join the team. I love what they are doing and what they represent in the running community. They give our sport spunk, and it is a privilege to fly with this group of strong women.”
Along with her husband, Bruce spearheads her own coaching program, “Running with the Bruces,” where she coaches several Oiselle-sponsored women. The newest bird is also a co-founder of Picky Bars, alongside Fleshman and her triathlete husband, Jesse Thomas.
Bruce announced her departure from adidas in an April blog post, saying she was running for herself as she re-assessed her life as a professional runner while preparing for her first child, Riley, who was born in June.
