The Go! St. Louis Marathon continues to make an impact on its charitable mission. According to a recent press release, the annual race has hit a new milestone: raising $1 million in donations for 27 charities in four years.
This year alone, $367K has been raised.
The race’s GO! for a Cause charity program launched in 2010 and continues to expand each year.
The program encourages local non-profits to recruit stakeholders who will participate in the annual race that is celebrating its 13th anniversary this year.
Earlier this year, 1,000 runners and walkers participated in their program to raise money for their respective charity.
A few charitable organizations include: GO! St. Louis Team for Kids, Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, Alzheimer’s Association St. Louis Chapter, Angels’ Arms, Cultural Leadership, Family Resource Center, Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, Gateway to Hope, Habitat for Humanity, and Team Living Water.
GO! St. Louis is a local non-profit that encourages families and individuals to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
