The Taiwanese boy comes from a family of young marathoners.

Of the 100,000 runners taking part in the 2010 Fubon Taipei Marathon on Sunday, one person stood out of the crowd: six-year-old Wu Chun-hao. The boy, who lives in Hualien, Taiwan, finished the marathon in 5:11:45. He was accompanied by his five siblings who also finished the 26.2-mile race.

According to an article in the China Post, the family had entered the marathon for fun. Wu struggled in the final 10K with knee pain. However, with tears streaming down his face, he finished the race.

Wu admitted the race wasn’t fun, but that he would do it again.

In last year’s race, Wu’s older brother, Wu Cheng-en, was the marathon’s youngest finisher. His sister, Wu Hui-hsin (eight years old) became the race’s youngest female finisher.

Yusuf Chango Chebii Songoka of Kenya was the overall winner of the marathon, running 2:14:04, while Yeshi Esayias Tesemma of Ethiopia took first in the women’s race with a 2:30:37. Tesemma won the same race last year.
