She finished second in her age group.

There’s been a lot of speculation as to whether or not former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin will be running for office. It turns out she is running: a half marathon. Dressed incognito, wearing a white visor and large, dark sunglasses, Palin showed up at the Storm Lake Running Club’s Half Marathon in Iowa and signed up for the race.

She completed the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 46 minutes, and 10 seconds. This time was good for second in Palin’s age group.

Palin had registered for the race under her maiden name, Sarah Heath.

The race director, Grace Ivey, later commented that she didn’t even realize Palin was running the event until after the race.

Apparently, Palin said, “Boy that was fun,” after coming across the finish line. Later on, she Tweeted, “Thank you, Storm Lake, Iowa. You put on a great event and we loved meeting some great folks in your beautiful town today.”

The half marathon was a day after Palin gave a key speech at a Tea Party rally in Indianola, Iowa.
