Ryan Hall To Race Bix 7 This Weekend

America’s best marathoner set to compete for the first time since April’s Boston Marathon.

It was announced late last week that Ryan Hall, the fourth-place finisher and top American at April’s Boston Marathon, will run at the Quad-City Times Bix 7–a road race that serves as the U.S. 7-Mile Championships–this Saturday in Davenport, Iowa.”We’re real excited about him being here,” Bix 7 race director Ed Froehlich told the Times. “Ryan Hall is the fastest American marathoner since Alberto Salazar, and that’s something like 25 years ago. He’s very, very fast. We’re anxious to see how he does here on our course.”

Hall will join his training partner and friend, Meb Keflezighi, the winner of last November’s New York City Marathon who finished fifth at Boston in April, on the starting line this weekend. Kelfezighi, who has won two Bix titles (2002, 2009), is also racing for the first time since Boston.
