Over 20,000 runners took part in Saturday’s event that included a 5K, half, marathon, and marathon. None of the three events lacked in scenery and majesty. The marathon and half marathon afforded participants with incredible views of D.C.’s iconic buildings like the White House and the Washington Monument. The 5K took place at the legendary RFK Stadium. The pop band Better Than Ezra gave runners and their families some celebratory music at the finish-line festival outside the stadium.
