Runner Hit Twice By Same Driver

The suspect has been apprehended.

The suspect has been apprehended.

As if it’s hard enough out there on the roads, the Bellingham Record is reporting the unfortunate incident of a runner who was hit twice by the same driver. The assailant was identified as 23-year-old Saul Angeles Pamas of Othello, Wash. He was on Road 10 S.E., near Highway 262 driving a white Oldsmobile and struck 33-year-old runner Jackie Monney.

Mr. Pamas allegedly pulled up to Monney and asked her if she needed a ride. When she declined his offer, he then struck Monney.

He then drove around and ran over Monney again, police said, dragging her a short distance before he fled the scene.

Reportedly, Ms. Monney did not know the driver. She was not seriously injured. As of Monday, her condition at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake was not disclosed.

The white Oldsmobile was found by a Washington State trooper approximately three miles from the scene of the crime. It was subsequently impounded.
