Runners are invited to run Rock ‘n’ Roll races in Washington, D.C. and Mexico City on the same weekend.
Runners are being given the opportunity to run in the capital city of two different countries in one upcoming weekend.
Runners who participate in the Rock ’n’ Roll DC Marathon or 1/2 Marathon and the inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Mexico City Half Marathon, which take place March 14 and 15, respectively, will earn an exclusive #DC2MX medal, a unique vanity race bib, a gift bag, dedicated meet and mingle events in Washington, D.C. and Mexico City, race-day transportation to and from the host hotel in Mexico City, and additional hospitality in Mexico City as part of the Capital City Challenge. There are several flights to Mexico City that depart from Washington Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning that will ensure runners arrive to Mexico on time.
“Runners can experience miles of monuments in two Capital Cities over one weekend to truly test their endurance and sense of adventure,” said Shauna Buffington, vice president of global marketing for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series. “Unique experiences and personal challenges are the key motivators. People run for the special ‘bling,’ bragging rights and camaraderie; completing the Capital City Challenge will provide an extraordinary sense of accomplishment. Lucky for us there’s people ‘loco’ enough to actually do it.”
