Radcliffe Will Run Half-Marathon In NYC This Weekend, Will Make Decision On Worlds
Women’s world record holder will check fitness and health prior to confirming her run in Berlin.
British long distance superstar Paula Radcliffe, women’s world record holder in the marathon with her 2:15:25 from 2003, will run the New York City Half-Marathon this weekend. Radcliffe is recovering from foot surgery and will use the race to test her foot out before the Berlin world championship marathon. Her last marathon was the 2008 ING New York City Marathon which she won. If Radcliffe looks healthy and decides to run in Berlin she is certainly going to go in as the favorite for the race.
Joining Radcliffe in New York will be former world champion Catherine “The Great” Ndereba of Kenya and American marathon record holder Deena Kastor.
