The San Francisco Marathon, 2015
More than 25,000 runners raced on a cool San Francisco morning.
On a cool Sunday morning in the Bay Area, some 25,000 runners hit the streets of San Francisco for The San Francisco Marathon, now in its 38th year. The race was a USA Track & Field-sanctioned qualifier race for the 2016 Olympic Team Trials, though no runners ended up hitting the qualifying times (sub-2:18 for men, sub-2:43 for women). The men’s winner was Chris Mocko in 2:26:22, while Anna Bretan won the women’s race in 2:49:42.
