Michael Wardian won the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon in 2 hours, 31 minutes and 19 seconds on Sunday morning, as Jena Kincaid, a 25-year-old teacher from Austin, TX, took the women’s race in 3:07:41. In the half marathon, Abraham Rutto, 30, won in 1:07:16, with Patrick Rizzo a minute behind in 1:08:10. Samuel Kosgei, 29, of Houston, placed third in 1:09:03. Dani Fischer took the women’s half-marathon win in 1:18:58. Dorota Gruca, 42, finished in 1:19:26, with Lauren Smith, 22, of Lake Jackson, TX, rounding out the top three in 1:22:05.
