On a perfect morning for running, Kenya’s Benson Cheruiyot and Arizona State University Graduate Amy Hastings-Cragg claimed half-marathons victories in 1:04:14 and 1:12:04.

More than 22,000 entrants took over the Valley of the Sun to participate in the 12th annual P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon. Benson Cheruiyot, 32, from Valparaiso, Indiana took the men’s half marathon finishing in 1:04:15. U.S. Olympian Amy Hastings, 30, of Flagstaff, Arizona won the women’s half marathon in 1:12:04 followed by Natasha Wodak, 34, from Vancuver, BC who finished second in 1:12:23.  Roosevelt Cook and Ziola Gomez won the marathon with times 2:24:31 and 2:46:00 respectively.
