The Houston Marathon and Half Marathon doubled as the USA Half Marathon Championships. The national titles were won in blazing fast times by Diego Estrada (1:00:51) and Kim Conley (1:09:44) in decisive fashion, while Ethiopians Birhanu Gedefa and Yebrgual Arage won the marathon.
