These runners celebrated Halloween in their finest costumes, enjoying some of the country's best wines.
Although several races took place on Halloween with plenty of clever, wacky, spooky, and fun costumes, not many ran through a vineyard with wine-tasting stations and creative costumes like the Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon in northern California. Marking the end of autumn wine harvest, this Halloween-themed race passes through two dozen wineries along the course, starting at Virginia Dare Winery and finishing on the Trentadue Winery grounds for a post-race wine and music festival.
