2015 Medtronic TC 1 Mile

The race doubled as the USATF 1-Mile championship.

The 10th running of the Medtronic TC 1 Mile took place Thursday in Minneapolis under rainy skies. Doubling as the USATF 1-mile national championship, the event nonetheless was won by a couple of native Minnesotans—Heather Kampf and Garret Heath.

Kampf, from Rosemount, Minn., outsprinted the field and won in a time of 4:45.4, beating out Rebecca Addison and Amanda Eccleston. It’s Kempf’s third USATF 1-Mile Road championship and her second TC 1 Mile win.

On the men’s side, Heath took the title in 4:08.3 for his second USATF 1-Mile title. He beat out Jeff See (4:09.4) and Trevor Dunbar (4:10.1) to win.
