2015 Freihofer’s Run for Women 5K
The New York race is one of the top 5Ks in the country.
More than 3,800 runners took the streets of Albany, N.Y., for the 37th annual Freihofer’s Run for Women, one of Competitor’s Must-Do 5K Races. Emily Chebet of Kenya won the race for the third time, crossing the finish line in 15:38, winning by three seconds and securing a $10,000 prize. Cynthia Limo of Kenya was second (15:41) and Buze Diriba of Ethiopia placed third in 15:45. Serena Burla was the top American, finishing eighth in 16:11.
