The 2015 Carlsbad 5000 was the 30th edition of the “World’s Fastest 5K”
With beautiful temperatures and a slight ocean breeze, more than 10,000 runners hit the streets of Carlsbad, Calif., just north of San Diego, for the 30th edition of the Carlsbad 5000. The day was headlined by a loaded professional field, led by Ethiopian Genzebe Dibaba, who was attempting to set the world record for 5K road races.
