Obama Hopes To Get 2016 Olympics To Chicago
President Obama will visit Copenhagen before final vote.
Although he had said he would not attend the final meeting, President Obama decided to join the First Lady in supporting the 2016 Chicago bid in Copenhagen. The President would have been the only leader from the final four cities not to attend the event, surely placing Chicago’s chances to the bottom of the pile. Along with Chicago, the other finalist include Tokyo, Madrid, and Rio de Janeiro.
This marks the first time a US President has attended the final meeting for an Olympic bid.
