With the Olympics only a year away, the head of the organizing committee is all ears.
On July 27 there will only be 365 days until the start of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. After the Olympic flame is lit, nations will compete against each other for 19 days across 26 sports and 39 disciplines.
Behind the magic is one of the best middle-distance runners of all time, Sebastian Coe.
Coe was a double Olympic gold medalist and the former world-record holder in the 1500m. Now 54 years old, he has had the responsibility of leading the planning and execution of the London Games. On 25 July, CNN will be speaking with Coe and they are offering the general public the chance to ask him questions ahead of the “one year to go” countdown.
Coe was instrumental in bringing the Olympics to London. He led the city’s successful bid over rival cities Madrid and Paris.
However, Coe’s track record is not perfect. A recent scandal where tickets were allegedly given to VIPs, politicians, and sponsors has upset many fans of the sport.
Those interested in sending Coe a question can leave a comment at the bottom of the article here.
