Naperville Running Co. Named Store Of The Year

Owner Kris Hartner was presented with the award Wednesday night.

Naperville (IL) Running Company has been named the 2009 Running Specialty Store of the Year by Formula4Media, hosts of the 2009 Running Event trade show. Store owner Kris Hartner was presented with the award at the “Top 50 Stores” presentation at The Running Event in Austin, Tex. The 2009 awards were presented by The Competitor Group.

Each year at The Running Event, Forumla4Media identifies the Top 50 Running Specialty Retailers throughout the United States. They base this on customer nominations, secret shoppers and feedback from industry vendors. They will then take their top-4 and choose a “Store of The Year” from that select group. This year the top-4 stores included Naperville Running Company, Fleet Feet Chicago, Swag’s Sports and RunOn!.
