He says the course is a fast one.

The second-fastest marathoner in the world, Kenya’s Moses Mosop, will be lacing up his racing flats next month.

The IAAF is reporting that Mosop will be running gthe ABN-AMRO Rotterdam Marathon on April 15.

Mosop ran a blazing 2:03:06 at last year’s windy Boston Marathon to finish second in his first attempt at the distance. He was defeated by countryman Geoffrey Mutai.

The day after Mosop ran the Paris Half Marathon earlier this month, he visited the course in Rotterdam with coach Renato Canova. He reportedly drew the course and noted important information.

“This is the fastest course I have ever seen. If a world record is possible than it is here,” Mosop said of Rotterdam.

The second-fastest member of the field is Getu Feleke with a personal best of 2:05:16, which he clocked when he won the Amsterdam Marathon in 2010.

In addition to these two runners, there are three athletes entered in Rotterdam who have run the marathon under 2:07: Yemane Adhane (ETH), Peter Kirui (KEN) and Rashid Kisri (MAR).
