Mo Farah Says He’s Never Been So Confident

He’s happy he moved to Oregon.

In a recent interview, British distance-running ace Mo Farah has said he will be making an assault on a world championship gold medal. “I’ve never been this confident in my life,” he admitted.

Farah has been on a tear lately. Competing in a highly competitive field, he won the 10,000m at the Prefontaine Classic two weeks ago. His winning time there was a British and European record.

Last year, the 28-year-old won double gold at the European Championships. Earlier this year, Farah switched coaches, moving to Oregon, where he is coached by Alberto Salazar.

“It wasn’t easy making that decision, leaving everything behind,” he told the Daily Telegraph. “I could have been happy at home, sitting in my house with a few European medals. But you have to say: ‘How can I improve? What can I do next?’ And over the last five months, a lot has changed. But we’re settling in well. My daughter’s making more friends than I am.”
