Britain’s top male distance runner, Mo Farah, will be heading to Glasgow, Scotland next month to kick off his indoor track season at the Aviva International Match.
The multiple British record-holder on the track and roads is coached by Alberto, Salazar and trains in Portland, Oregon.
“It’s going to be really good to compete at the Aviva International Match again,” Farah said. “Since I’ve moved out to the USA I really appreciate coming back to the UK to compete and it will be great to get a race so early on in the year. It’s been a while since I’ve kicked off the season so early but this year I’m keen to keep up the competition and just take the momentum from one meet to the next.”
Farah is a World Championship gold and silver medalist. He took first in the 5,000m event at the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea in August and was runner-up in the 10,000m.
