Kevin McNabb Wins St. Louis 5K

ST. LOUIS – Kevin McNab, 26, Cape Girardeau, MO captured the 4th GO! St. Louis Halloween 10K in 31 minutes, 14 seconds. McNab’s winning time was off the course record of 30:18, set in 2009 by Ryan Bak. Finishing second was Matt O’Connor, who posted a 31:39, followed by Daniel Quigley with a 32:07.
On the women’s side, Hilary Orf, 22, Ballwin, MO, won in 35:54. Orf, outdistanced 2009 race champion Julie Lossos, who finished second in a time of 36:46. Finishing third wasCrystal Harris, clocking 36:52.
A 5K distance was added to the event this year, which attracted additional participants, making the popular event one of the largest Halloween-themed races in the U.S. Carter Snow won the inaugural 3.1 mile race in 16:03, while Shannon Leinert from Columbia, MO took the women’s 5K crown (19:10).
In addition to prize money for overall winners, pumpkin pies are awarded to the top age group winners. In all, more than 5,200 participants registered for the event.
