Kastor Hurt Again

The top American marathoner over the past decade finds herself re-injured and running out of time.

Bummer. American marathon record holder and 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Deena Kastor has apparently re-injured the foot that she broke during the 2008 Beijing Games.  It is not clear what the extend of the injury is, but in any case the setback is not a good sign for the aging Kastor, who turned 36 in February.  While a return to the form of her glory years is not out of the question for Kastor, as runners older than her have won gold medals and broken world records at the marathon distance in the past, she needs her luck to turn soon if she is to have any chance of adding a happy ending to her storied career.
