Molly Huddle (Providence, R.I.) returns to Boston to defend her USA Women’s 10K title Monday at the 2010 USA Women’s 10K Championship, hosted by the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women.

Huddle, who set the American record for 5,000 meters this summer at the Belgacom Memorial van Damme and won last month’s USA 5K title, will face seven-time U.S. road champion Katie McGregor (Saint Louis Park, Minn.) as they both seek a third crown for the 10K road championship. McGregor won the USA Women’s 10 Mile Championship Sunday in Minneapolis.

Also in the hunt for the title will be three-time Olympian Jen Rhines (Mammoth Lakes, Calif.) and Renee Metivier-Baille (Boulder, Colo.), who finished second behind McGregor last week in Minneapolis.
