Hall, Kastor To Run P.F. Changs Rock ‘n’ Roll Ariziona Half Marathon
Both athletes hold the respective American records over the 13.1 mile distance.
American record holders Ryan Hall and Deena Kastor have been confirmed for the 2010 PF Changs Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Half Marathon. The race, taking place on January 17th, will be the first for both athletes in 2010. Hall set the American record for the half marathon in 2007 with his 59:43 effort in Houston. Kastor set her American record of 1:07:34 in 2006 in Berlin.
In addition to headlining elite athletes, the race will offer a 50-kilometer division. A total of 50 participants will get the chance to run a 50k with Dean “Ultramarathon Man” Karnazes in conjunction with the marathon. The participants will run the extra 8k prior to the beginning of the race and finish the remaining 42k by running the marathon.
