Galen Rupp Signs With Michael Johnson

In a shocking move the young American distance champion signs with world record holder.

Taking the sports agency world for a loop, newly crowned USATF 10,000m champion Galen Rupp has joined Jeremy Wariner as a top client for current 400m world recorder holder, now agent, Michael Johnson.  With fellow Nike Oregon Project members Kara and Adam Goucher, Dathan Ritzenhein and Josh Rohatinsky represented by Peter Stubbs, it seemed the obvious choice for the newly-turned professional.  Johnson only has a roster of four athletes, all of which are sprinters, so the addition of Rupp is a new venture.  It remains to be seen the exact reason for the choice, although Johnson is certainly highly respected throughout the running community.
