Fields Loaded For adidas Track Classic

Olympians and American record holders will headline the 2009 adidas Track Classic.

It should be a great weekend of track and field action at the 2009 adidas Track Classic taking place May 16th at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.  Although US 100-meter record holder Tyson Gay and five-time Jamaican Olympic medalist Veronica Campbell Brown have reportedly pulled out of the event, there are still plenty of headliners set for action.

Among those Americans to watch for are 5,000- and 10,000-meter national record holder Shalane Flanagan (5K), Olympic gold medalist Jeremy Wariner (400-meters), double IAAF world champion Bernard Lagat (1500-meters), IAAF world champion Allyson Felix (200-meters), pole vault American record holder Jenn Stuczynski (pole vault) and high school phenom and American junior record holder in the 1,500-meters Jordan Hasay (1,500-meters).

The event will be broadcast live on ESPN2 from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. PDT.
