Alberto Salazar, Mo Farah’s coach, has recently unveiled debut-marathon plans for his athlete. According to an article posted on the Telegraph’s Web site, Farah who has yet to race 26.2 miles, will tackle this distance for the first time at the London Marathon in 2014.

Apparently, if things do not go well, Farah will have to decide what races to run in Rio in 2016.
“By the time Rio is coming up, Farah has to decide whether he’s going to run the 5K and 10K or the 10K and marathon,” said Salazar. “He’s just got to make a choice at that point depending on where he thinks his chances of winning two medals are.”
There are certainly big expectations for Farah at this distance. Last weekend, he won the Rock ‘n’ Roll New Orleans Half Marathon in 60 minutes, 59 seconds.
Farah, who is a Somali-born British citizen, currently lives and trains in Portland, Oregon.
