Farah To Get Wax Treatment At Madame Tussauds

British runner Mo Farah is being turned into wax.

The Olympic champion in the 5000m and 10,000m at the 2012 London Games, Farah has since turned to longer distances and is in the process of training for his first 26.2-mile test, next month’s London Marathon.

This week, in the wake of his fall and finish line collapse at the New York City Half Marathon, it was announced the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London would create a Mo Farah figure for its collection.

The museum will also house a Farah wax figure at its Blackpool, England location.

“I saw Usain Bolt’s wax figure at the Anniversary Games last year and couldn’t believe how brilliant it was,” Farah said on the Madame Tussauds website. “I said then that I’d love one of my own and I’m so excited that it’s now really happening. I cannot wait to meet both of my doubles!”

Farah’s signature pose involves putting his hands on top of his head, which creates a letter M shape with his arms. He calls it the “Mobot.”

“We polled guests to find out which Olympian they wanted to see featured here at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and the response was overwhelmingly in favor of Mo,” said Matthew Titherington, the general manager at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool. “We know our visitors will grab the chance to measure up to him and try out their own Mobots!”
