DALLAS – February 28, 2015 – With the Cowtown Marathon’s cancellation of the marathon, ultra-marathon, 10K and 5K due to severe weather conditions in North Texas, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series have made free entries available for displaced Cowtown entrants to run the Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon the weekend of March 20-22.
“The cancellation of The Cowtown Marathon is devastating news for both runners and race organizers,” said Alan Culpepper, Vice President of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series. “We know firsthand the level of training and planning that goes into an event for runners and race organizers. That is why we are proud to partner with Humana to offer participants the opportunity to run with us and hope they will join us in March.”
Cowtown entrants in the cancelled events can email proof of registration to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Cowtown Transfer” to receive a complimentary entry. The Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon will guarantee spots for the first 200 transfers and additional entries will also be made available subject to capacity.
