Christopher Reeve’s Son Running NYC Marathon

Matthew Reeve will run NYC Marathon in support of his father’s charitable foundation.

The son of former Superman actor, Christopher Reeve, will run the 2009 ING New York City Marathon. Matthew Reeve will be raising money for his father’s organization, the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, to benefit people with spinal cord injuries.  This will be Matthew’s first marathon.

Reeve had the following to say about his decision:

As a first time runner I do not underestimate the challenge that lies ahead but I am motivated to do the training and cross that finish line by the millions of people living with spinal cord injury who struggle daily with considerable challenges.
